M. Kemal Coşkunöz was known as “Teacher Kemal” in the sector because he was a technical teacher and he lead in many ways within the industry. He believed that every individual had a responsibility in the solution of social problems. In 1988, he established Bursa Coşkunöz Education Foundation so as to fill the deficiency in vocational education which he regarded as one of the biggest problems of Modern Turkey; to meet the qualified technical personnel requirement of the automotive industry and to provide unemployed youngsters with a job and occupation. Coşkunöz Education Foundation, which was one of the first social responsibility projects developed in Turkey, continues today, on the basis of his solid foundation, to support vocational education, all the while gaining strength in the manner that he desired.
