M. Kemal Coşkunöz
Founder of Coşkunöz Education Foundation and Coşkunöz Holding Companies
M. Kemal Coşkunöz, the founder of Coşkunöz Holding and its companies, began his career as a technical high school teacher at Tophane Art School in 1946.
His entrepreneurial spirit emerged early in his career, and he focused on both learning and teaching, as well as producing. In 1950, he developed Türkiye’s first patented textile marking machine, achieving many milestones during a challenging period for the Turkish industry.
He also contributed to the mass production of the accumulator tongs, the first oil seal, the first steel body, and the first driver's cab.
Kemal Hoca, who adopted the principle ""If I am doing a job, I must be the best,"" made it a cornerstone of his professional life, with a goal of growing together with the national economy when he founded Coşkunöz Holding's first joint-stock company in 1973. He made significant contributions to the development and localization of the Turkish automotive industry
He believed that every individual had a responsibility to help solve social problems. In 1988, he founded the Bursa Coşkunöz Education Foundation to address the shortage of vocational education, which he considered one of the biggest issues facing modern Türkiye, to meet the qualified labor needs of the production sector, and to provide jobs and professions for unemployed youth.
The Coşkunöz Education Foundation, one of Türkiye's first social responsibility projects, continues to support vocational education today, building on the solid foundation he established and strengthened in line with his vision.
